Five documents to prepare before you ship from China

Missing or unclear paperwork is one of the most common reasons shipments get delayed. Before your goods leave China, check that you have:

  1. Commercial invoice — lists the goods, quantities, unit prices and total value. The values should match what you actually paid.
  2. Packing list — shows what is in each carton, with carton counts, weights and sizes.
  3. Product descriptions — clear, specific descriptions (not just “samples” or “goods”). Include materials and use where relevant.
  4. Receiver details — full name, address and contact number in the Philippines. We keep this private; it never appears on our tracking page.
  5. Permits for regulated goods — certain products (for example, some food, cosmetics, electronics or telecom items) need permits or clearances. Ask us before you buy if you aren’t sure.

Send these to us as early as you can. If something looks inconsistent, we’ll let you know before your goods ship, when it’s still easy to fix.
